About Curated Homes

Carla Radford, Realtor

I believe there is no better place to live than Middle Tennessee. While Nashville is becoming a big city, I see its humble roots and still feel like I live in a small town; I go to Trader Joe’s and run into at least three people I know every time.

I earned my real estate education and licensing seven years ago when my husband and I began investing in area property, and we wanted to make sure we were making the best decisions. It has been such a pleasure to help clients find homes they love or great investment properties, or sell a home for a profit that helps build wealth for clients and their future generations.

I have a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Public Health. Prior to real estate, I was a social worker and have found so many similarities in the two fields. I feel like being a realtor is social work for houses, because I get to help match clients to houses and to the services they need to make their home buying and selling experiences a smooth and pleasant process.

My husband and I enjoy raising three active boys, two cats, and a few chickens in the Forest Hills neighborhood. We are within three miles of all the nature, hiking, and conveniences we could ever need or want! When I’m not driving my boys around to activities and sporting events, I love to read, travel, and host parties. My husband and I have also been working on our house for the past eight years! What can I say? I love a fixer upper.

In the future, I hope to be more involved with public and community health and its relationship to real estate and the community we live in—green housing, air quality initiatives, and improving greenways. I help host the Big Green Fair at Percy Priest Elementary School and participate in the neighborhood Weed Wrangle to tackle all the invasive species along the greenway. Currently, I am working on a Bikeway Bash to raise funds for a greenway that will eventually connect Radnor Lake Park to Warner Parks.

Alissa Mansfield, Realtor

Alissa grew up partly in Nashville, partly in Birmingham, Alabama. She stayed true to her Tennessee roots, attending the University of Tennessee (go Vols!) and returning to Nashville in 2010, where she has lived ever since. Her family goes back for over a century in this area, and has therefore been in the position to watch its growth more closely than most.

Alissa received a bachelor’s degree in political science and history, as well as a master’s in higher education administration, both from UT, leading to an early career in higher education and as a college counselor here in Nashville.

She was working at her husband’s company, Mansfield Realty Group, when she began developing a passion for all things real estate. Learning from him and helping clients find their dream homes motivated her toward a real estate license. She has now been practicing real estate for three years.

The common theme across all of her work is serving people. As a 100% 2 on the Enneagram, Alissa thrives on connecting with others. What she loves about real estate, whether helping a buyer or a seller, is getting to be their guide in creating the next chapter of their story. From finding a dream home, to planning for 10 years down the road, or selling to move on to the next chapter, I love being there every step of the way!

Alissa has three children—two beautiful girls and a new baby boy! Their home life in Forest Hills is busy with school and activities, but they like to unwind and travel together as a family and enjoy the privacy and space of their neighborhood, just a few minutes from the heart of Green Hills.

Alissa loves to cook (trying out NYT Cooking recipes is a favorite pastime!), read, entertain, and host family and friends. She is an active member of Woodmont Christian Church and volunteer at her children’s schools. She subscribes to the motto: offering your time and talents is such a great way to give back to the communities you love.
